This is one of the most famous monuments of South Sinai with many attractions such as the Church of Transfiguration, The Skull House, Moses’s Well, and my all time favorite, The Burning Bush. The tour will include a historical explanation of each site from our licensed guide. After visiting the monastery you will get free time where you can visit the museum of the monastery which contains the oldest icons and manuscripts of the early stages of Christianity. It is the world’s second largest collection of illuminated manuscripts after the Vatican. The museum entrance fee(not included) is a few dollars. You can feel free to take photo’s during this time. Then will be colored canoyn – SALAMA. We will then travel by jeep south for 45 minutes by HIACE on a paved street and then off the road for about half an hour by jeep 4X4. Once we arrive, we will hike between a sandstone canyon. The walls here are beautiful with colors ranging from yellow, purple, reds, gold, and even magenta. The canyon wall in places will be 100 feet high. Expect light climbing and a hike of about 1.5 hours at max. This requires you to be in decent shape. Last step will be Dahab City We will then drive back to Dahab City where we get our lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch you will have the chance to go shopping in Dahab or explore the city.
